Your thoughts shape who you become
As you think, so shall you become.
Does this sound familiar to you? 🙂 And it’s so obvious: what you are thinking today, what you were thinking yesterday and in the days before shapes your life, it says a lot about you and about where you’re headed. If your thoughts don’t match your plans, then change your thoughts and do and become someone else, someone different, better and more successful.
I create my future
To hell with circumstances; I create opportunities.
It’s easy to give in to reactive mindset and to give in to circumstances and blame it all on them. Follow along, do what’s expected of you and just react to what’s going on around you.
And you feel powerless, because you gave your power away.
So the only way to get out of this circle and do something with your life is to create opportunities in spite of your circumstances. This is more difficult, but it brings results that you can only hope for when you’re being reactive. Yes, it can be scary but it’s a lot more rewarding.
If you spend too much time thinking about a thing, you’ll never get it done.
It’s not the daily increase but daily decrease. Hack away at the unessential.
When you see the potential to improve your life it’s really tempting to try to do it all at once, more than you’d normally do – but you still have the same amount of time at your disposal, so it may become a problem: by adding more you’re creating more stress and anxiety because with time you realize that there are so many things for you to do, and all of them seem important.
There’s only one way to fix this: to clear the clutter and free up your time of all the unnecessary activities and thoughts. This way you will be able to actually do the important stuff, and to enjoy them as well.
Save your thinking for the important things – to plan a realistic route and avoid possible pitfalls. But ditch the unessential ASAP.
Don’t take sides
Take no thought of who is right or wrong or who is better than. Be not for or against.
Our true being doesn’t need to divide or take sides; it doesn’t need to be better, taller, smarter, prettier, wealthier… than someone else. But we still have the tendency to listen to the ego and to compare, to take sides because we identify ourselves with our thoughts and feelings, and those are mostly influenced by others or by society.
You are not what you think and feel. Your thoughts and feelings change, and you’re the consciousness observing them. When you realize this, you’ll be better able to detect when your ego is playing tricks on you in search for conflicts and drama – and you really don’t need those to live a happy life.
Always be yourself
Always be yourself, express yourself, have faith in yourself, do not go out and look for a successful personality and duplicate it.
It’s probably the hardest thing to do, to just be who you are and not fall into the trap of falling back into old thought patterns, or simply imitating others. But it works, and it’s better than anything else you can do for and to yourself. You will stop aligning with others and finally be aligned with yourself, and here are a few more reasons why it’s better to be yourself.
