Loral Langemeier

Loral Langemeier is a New York Times bestselling author and a leading entrepreneurial speaker who built her career  from scratch – born and raised on a farm in Nebraska, she created her first business at 17, and by 34 had established a multi-million-dollar portfolio as one of the world’s leading money experts. She is being featured on our website as one of the law of attraction teachers from The Secret.

Life and Career

Loral Langemeier was born on a farm in Nebraska, where she learned the value of hard work, persistence and how to get things done. During high school, when most kids were reading the required English Lit materials, she took on the works of George S. Clason, author of The Richest Man in Babylon, as well as Think and Grow Rich, by Napoleon Hill. Her first business was health-training company that she started when she was 17. When she was 19, she was paying her own way through college as a personal trainer and aerobics instructor.

She graduated from the Wesleyan University of Nebraska with Bachelor degrees in Business Administration and Finance, followed by a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

According to her official website, she began her career working for the Chevron Corporation right out of college, but after spending five years in corporate America, she quit that job to become an Executive Coach because “it was clear to her early on that there was more to life than cubicles and trading her time for dollars”.

As an Executive Coach, she quintupled her income virtually overnight while working much less. She soon founded Live Out Loud, Inc.,  her coaching, mentoring and consulting company which was named as one of the 15th Fastest Growing Women-Owned Businesses in 2007 in the San Francisco Bay Area – she grew it into a multi-million company in only five years.

Pursuing her life-long plan to be a millionaire by age 35, Loral reached that goal two weeks shy of her 34th birthday. Today, apart from being President and CEO of Live Out Loud, Inc., she is a sought after speaker – and a single mom.

Teachings and Philosophy

Loral Langemeier claims that she can turn anyone into a millionaire:

You can give me someone who’s severely in debt, you can give me a single mom on a low income, you can even give me a guy who’s living a big lifestyle on fumes. I can take all of them and make them millionaires. (from her book The Millionaire Maker)

She believes that mindset is the key to building wealth, and her principles for wealth creation are based on the works of the New Thought authors such as George S. Clason and Napoleon Hill. Her system is not a “get rich quick” scheme – just like George Clason, she believes in the “pay yourself first” mantra; one of the first steps to her system is to get rid of bad debt, and to that end, she presents a modified debt snowball. She also asks people to keep a budget (which she calls “a Forecast”); she repeatedly says “Start now!”, and encourages diversification.

Langemeier decries the lack of financial education, so she made making people understand money and wealth creation one of her priorities.

Loral Langemeier is the author of 5 New York Times bestsellers (first five on the list):

Money will not come to confusion. It comes to clarity.

Almost everyone has an idea. The frustration comes when they try to turn that idea into a business. Unfortunately, too many try too hard. Business is just not that hard.

No one else but you can decide that your conversation from here on in will be about putting cash in your pocket and building up wealth. No one else but you can decide what to start doing, what to stop doing, and what to continue doing.
